- I have been in love with Vintage especially the late 1930s and 1940s (but I do adore the 50s too) since I was a child playing dress up with my Mum's 50s dresses and shoes. Seeing all those lovely photographs of my Mum in the late 30s & 40s and how glamorous i thought she looked. I wore vintage in the 80s when everyone else was buying from the market or the limited high street shops like Chelsea Girl. I'm a Qualified Designer trained in Textiles (Art Embroidery) and Fashion Design. I specialised in Fashion Illustration. I left university to work as a Graphic Designer. Now I occupy myself with Crafts. I knit, crochet, embroider, sew, make jewellery and anything else that takes my fancy. I have an ever growing collection of vintage knitting patterns and I really love the Stitchcraft Magazines. I also have a rather large collection of handbags dating from the turn of the 20th century and I also collect vintage jewellery.
